"The only challenge is finding musicians to play his music," said his mother, Meng-Yong, describing the abrupt rhythmic changes in her son's work. Judges reviewing Yeeren's body of musical work called it "mature" and "unbelievably sophisticated and complex," and noted that he "has developed his own voice at a young age," according to Tacie Moessner, who manages the fellowship program for Davidson.
